Step 1: Find Malware Crusher icon in the Dock and double Click it.

Step 2: Full Scan is initiated.

Step 3: At any time during the scan you can stop it by pressing STOP SCAN button at the bottom right of the window

Step 4: Results of full scan are displayed with type of infection found, its path and threat it poses to your Mac.

Step 5: You can clean the infections found by pressing “Clean Now” button.

Step 6: Verify cleaning by Pressing Rescan button.

Step 1: Once Malware Crusher is installed, its icon appears in the DOCK

Step 2: Double click the Icon

Step 3: Malware Crusher window opens up with full scan initiated. Ignore the results and press Preferences button on the left panel.

Step 4: Click General Tab, 1st one from 5 tabs available on the top of the screen.

Step 5: Click Exclusion tab.

Step 6: Click + button to add files and folders for exclusion.

Step 7: Click – button after you have highlighted the files or folders which are to be removed from exclusion. Your next scan will scan all files and folders which have been removed from exclusion.

Step 8: Now Select Browser History on the screen

Step 9: Your browsing history will be included in full scan. Select browsers and duration for inclusion in scan.

Step 10: Click schedule tab on the top of the screen

Step 11: Now schedule your auto scan

You can again choose your convenience by scheduling a daily scan or by scheduling a weekly Scan. You may even choose “Do not Scan ” option.

Step 12: Now click Virus Definition tab and select auto-update and if you want a notification when an update is done then select the second option also.

Setting up Malware Crusher is complete and your Mac is now protected and will be protected in future too.

Step 13: You have successfully configured Malware Crusher in your Mac.

Step 1: Launch Malware Crusher from dock.

Step 2: Click on Status button which is on the top in the left panel

Step 3: Result of your last scan is visible with “Secure now” option

Step 4: You can fix all the infections found on your mac by clicking “Secure now”

Step 5: Additionally, you can update your virus database from this screen.

Step 6: On the same screen, you even have option to conduct a custom scan on files and folders which you feel are infected

Step 1: A custom scan is an option available to you to immediately scan a file or a folder or even a drive instead of performing a full scan.

Step 2: Launch Malware Crusher from Dock

Step 4: Right side of left panel a space appears which prompts you to drop files and folder for scan.

Step 5: At the bottom left of the screen, a select folder button appears.

Step 6: On Clicking this button, a new screen appears above with option to choose file, folders.

Or Drag file or Folder from explorer into Malware Crusher window where “Drag and drop a folder here to begin for scanning for infections” is written.

Step 7: Scanning of the folder of file begins immediately and results are shown.

Step 8: Remove the infections by clicking on “Fix now”.

Step 1: Virus definition is actually collection of all found infections with type and severity of damage levels it can cause to your Mac, in the database. This database at our server keeps updating with new found infections.

Step 1: Exclusion tab on the Preference panel :-Its is a window where you can add paths of files and folders for exclusion in scan process conducted by the Malware Crusher.

Step 1: Network Monitor is a simple tool which lets you know who all are there on your network. This tool has inbuilt notification feature which lets you know who has joined the network or who has left the network.

Step 1: History and Log section Keeps you informed about all scans done weather full or custom, along with infections found. It even monitors your actions taken at the time of scan by showing number of ignored and cleaned files or folders.

Step 1: You have option to export these log files for further inspection or you can delete them permanently from your Mack.

Step 1: Database containing virus information is continuously getting updated by addition of new found infections along with severity they can cause to Macs. This updated database has a new update version. When the version of virus definition does not match with current version of database on our servers. A notification is sent stating a new update for virus definitions is available.

Step 2: On clicking the virus definition info button on the top screen of Malware Crusher Panel. You have to select between automatic updates and manual updating. You can even stop notifications for updates by selecting the option provided in the window.

Step 1: During Full Scan, your browser history is also scanned according to available preferences. Change preferences according to your needs by selecting Browser and duration of history to be scanned during the next full scan.
